LocalAIStick was born from a simple ambition: to make modern local AI as accessible as a program on a USB stick.
Why LocalAIStick?

Many people want to use AI without transferring personal texts, sensitive documents or internal information to a cloud service.
At the same time, local AI systems are often technical, complicated to set up and heavily dependent on the respective hardware. LocalAIStick closes exactly this gap: a German-language, portable application that combines runtimes, models and tools in a clear interface.

LocalAIStick combines modern open source components with an independent, German-language user interface.
Every essential function is tested hands-on: model launch, streaming, image understanding, PDF processing, persistence and the various hardware backends. Third-party components and models are shown transparently with the respective licenses.
